The Android WiFi Tether app does work with temp root. Unfortunately right now infrastructure mode does not work. Here's what you need to do.
1.) Use version 3.1 Beta 7
2.) Change the setup method to WEXT (ad-hoc). Use the "Default" device profile or any other profile that will let you use this setup method
3.) Do not use WiFi-Encryption - For now this doe not work. You must use Access Control if you want to restrict access.
4.) Enable "MSS clamping" and "Routing fix"
5.) Tether away.

I don't have a rezound, but I've asked people on Androidfurms that have used the temp root if it works for them - It's mixed.

I've been checking in periodically for updates, I was curious if you have actually used wireless tether with this temp root?

Not sure. Unfortunately, this isn't a very stable/proven method. I'm sure something better will come along soon.

I tried to follow this procedure 3-4 times. The command prompt says that the phone is rooted. However, the phone doesn't actually get rooted. What could be going wrong?

TB requires busybox - try installing that from the market once rooted.

Titanium Backup doesn't seem to want to work even though the root says its successful and superuser shows up. It basically says it doesn't have root access...am I doing something wrong?

The wifi tether app doesn't work. Every time that I try to tether it says that it "started with errors" and to look at the log file. HELP! I've tried several different versions of the app from the devs and none of them work with the rezound, I have root access and I have seen other posts about people complaining about the same issue. If anyone got it to work please post a fix.

Right now the executable files are Windows only. As soon as a Mac method is developed I'll add it to the guide.

Entirely up to you. If you want to move apps from your old phone to the new one with Titanium Backup you may want to use the temp root. You may also want to wait until there is a perm root so you're just doing things once. You may also want to wait until a ROM comes out or until ICS.

If there is a perm root before ICS comes out, it is highly likely that you will have to unroot to get the ICS update.

Freezing an app prevents it from running, either in the foreground or background, which saves on battery life, data costs, etc. Currently, any apps removed from the phone are downloaded and reinstalled. Until there is a permanent root this is the best way to handle bloatware.

What does it mean to "freeze" an app? I'm totally new to root and, quite frankly, a little afraid of it! LOL! I'm trying to educate myself as much as possible before I do anything.

I have the Verizon Droid Incredible running the Nov. OTA ver. 2.3.4 as well. It's not working for me either. I am getting the error message in revoked3 that says Is Firmware too new?

The red triangle is normal for stock recovery. There is a button combination you can press to get a menu, but it won't help. Unrevoked may not work yet with the recent update to 2.3.4.

When you ran Unrevoked did you receive any errors?

I have the Verizon Droid Incredible running the Nov. OTA ver. 2.3.4. I cant get it to root i have tried everything I have heard of from the forums and can't figure it out. I tried to boot into recovery and noticed that it won't boot properly. I keep getting the red triangle with an exclamation point in the middle. Any thoughts?

This is exactly what I want, and though cheap, I cannot bring myself to pay for it! Ugh, I'm a spoiled torrent and 'there's ALWAYS a free option' person...but the email addresses and amount of logins required btwn the comp and phone are innumerable, so it could just open my wallet...
